i dont like most Gospel music its too preachy to me. Old gospel music isnt so bad, even diva’s like Aretha have done gospel at some point in time, and have a decent song or two, but i wouldnt buy a whole album. As for christian music, i actually really like Tourniquet Shawn McDonnald , and Jars of Clay .Smith’s Freedom album and he has some other good songs as well, and Carmen, Steven Curtis Chapman, and several others from the 90′s all had good songs here and there. Also The Harlot/HarlotDance/Rock and Roll Worship Circus are also very good, but i think i like them because im related to the lead singer more than anything. If the music and lyrics are good, i like it. If they repeat the same thing ovre and over again, i dont like it.
