Phone headsets are helping office workers to make significant changes in their office routine, and helping to keep them healthy at the same time. The fact is that many office workers find themselves sitting in their chair for hour after hour, with no way of getting up and moving about because they have to be ready to answer the telephone. Limited movement, plus poor body position can cause a great deal of damage to the body, and to the general health of the worker. Not only can it cause muscle and spine damage, but there is also the chance that it could reduce the life of the average office employee. However, a headset can start to make a difference to everyone in the office.

The main reason for long-term sick leave is well known to be back pain. Problems with the spine and the lumbar muscles are often caused by sitting in the wrong position for too long, and office chairs are the ideal place for this. Bent backs, bowed shoulders and twisted hips are all seen in the average office, but this problem is exacerbated by taking phone calls from a handset. Here, the phone has to be held in position by a hand, often leaning on the desk, or even held under the chin by a raised shoulder. In these situations, it is no surprise that people feel unwell.

Phone headsets can start to make a change by encouraging people to sit back in their chairs, and not lean on the desk. There is no need to support the phone, either with the hand or the shoulder, and this helps to correct posture. In addition, the headsets also give greater freedom, so there is more movement of the body, preventing stiffening and cramps in the lower limbs. This, again, means that there is less likelihood of permanent damage being caused later on.

Changing the office routine with phone headsets can also benefit the employees in the long term. Studies show that people who sit down for more than 6 hours a day are 40% more likely to die young than those who have an active working life. Although a phone headset doesn’t automatically mean that someone has to move about, they often find themselves doing more, and getting out of their chair more often. This increased activity has benefits not only in the physical health of the office worker, but also in overall productivity, as more gets done.

Choosing to change the routine of the average Australian office can be done simply with the installation of headsets for phones. This doesn’t have to be very expensive, and can save costly sick-day payments, and also early retirement due to poor health. Although the headset cannot oblige people to do more, getting up out of the seat for long periods is easier if the worker is not confined to their chair. With less obligation to stay seated, people can start moving around the office, and change their routine for a more positive habit.

Nissans in the Future

Nissan seems to be a growing company, even in this downtrodden economy. Where they will go in the future, who knows? If you’re in the need for a nice used Nissan around the L.A area in California, you should check out puente hills nissan or nissan buena park as soon as possible. I swear that this dealership will be the answer to any problems! I was on Google the other day and I searched “used cars in los angeles” and one of the first results that came back was the Los Angeles Nissan dealership (naturally) and then Nissan Puente Hills. I was fine with that because I actually happened to live relatively close to it. I have always purchased used cars. I don’t know why, but renting/leasing and buying a new car never worked for me. Either I was not financially stable enough, or the vast amount of money on the price tag always threw me off. I liked saving money, because when you save money, you end up having some leftover when you really need it. Seems simple, but it tends to be logic that people don’t like to remember. So I save on costs where I can because I know that even if nothing happens, it’s the smarter decision. Besides that, it teaches me good money management. I think that’s a very important skill to have, money management. Especially when things are so unstable in the world, to have that little extra cushion to rely on is always a stress-reliever. I like used cars, they have a history to them and they are usually pretty reliable. Used cars are not experiments, they have been tried and tested and enjoyed and got boring.

For people like me, that’s perfect for both my financial situations and personal preferences. Not only do I not care if a car is “boring”, but besides that, new cars could always have severe problems that no one else knows about until we’re all driving one. Sorry if that makes me seem paranoid, but I guess with how many car wrecks there are in the United States, it pays to be cautious. Besides, having a new car isn’t all that great. For me, it would seem like a lot more stress. Being careful not to scratch it, or stress the engine or damage anything to get rid of the re-sale value. Los Angeles Nissan is the way to go if you want a nice inventory full of even nicer used cars. I see Nissan surviving for quite a few more years, and even when they are no longer, the cars will still be admired!

Proper understanding is one of the key ingredients of good and effective communication. Understanding determines whether or not people would understand the things you want to convey. This is true not only in public communication but in all aspects of communication, even in written discourse. With that being said, we must see to it that we make people understand what we say so that our efforts in trying to communicate with them will not be in vain. If you are a writer and you write about things that are not that common to people, you must at least take into consideration the wide variety of readers that might have an access to your work and by that, you need to make them feel that understanding your work is not that hard at all.

This serves as a place where people talk about business and try to understand one another. This is an example of technical aid for better understanding as it was created to make sure that people from any walk of life understand this one difficult field. It helps every one of us, even those who don’t plan to get involved in business, understand what business is.

If you’re using Windows Live Messenger, you’ll know that it’ll automatically stores your chat history in your computer so that you can access them anytime you want and find out what you’ve said a few weeks ago. That sounds quite useful but here’s a better tool.

IM History is a desktop app that helps users store their chat history online and allows them to view and access them online on their Web browsers using a one-click access from their PCs. Currently, IM History supports multiple IMs such as AIM, Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, Pidgin, Miranda, Trillian, QIP, etc.

Before you IM History records your chat logs, you can upload and merge existing history archives. The impressive search feature enables you to search for chat logs by bookmarks and links, word/phrase or by contact. You can even create a metacontact for your multi-IM chat buddies or edit the contact details.

There are tons of website value calculators out there on the web and none of them are special to me – just taking into account of basic features such as technorati authority rank, alexa rank, Google Pagerank, number of backlinks from major search engines, website history and many more. Some of these estimators include WebsiteValueCalculator, YourWebsiteValue and Dane Carloson’s project using Technorati API.

You might have heard one of them before but there is one new start-up called Stimator which really impressed me at first look especially its wonderful interface. Touted as a “A Real-Time Website Value Estimator”, this free tool enables you to find out how much your website is worth by grabbing data from multiple sources such as the stock market taken from Yahoo Finance (I don’t think any developer have implemented this great idea).

How To Merge Multiple PDF Documents Together?

Written by admin on Sunday, September 4th, 2011 in E-Books, Internet, Tech News, Tech Tips, Technology.

If you don’t have any Adobe software to manipulate your PDF documents, then I would suggest you to head to MergePDF which helps you combine multiple PDF files together for free and quickly. Since it comes free, it definitely has some limitations such as a maximum of 10 input files and individual file size must be 5MB.

Also, all uploaded files are immediately removed from the database after you’ve downloaded your combined PDF document due to security issues. MergePDF comes in handy especially if you access PDF documents frequently and sometimes when people send you a file in different parts, you can easily merge it using this useful and simple tool.

Another alternative tool is the popular PDFHammer. Not only does it provides a similar feature of merging documents, it’s also a web-based application that helps users re-arrange pages in any way you want and delte individual pages.

The world’s most popular free desktop mapping software – Google Earth, said on Monday that there are releasing an advanced 3-D mapping technology that enables users or even geographers to explore the amazing underwater world as if you’re swimming. The folks there said that you can even swim through undersea canyons as deep as the Mariana Trench and encounter creatures like a critically endangered, prehistoric fish called the coelacanth.

Want to make your tweet stands out in your followers’ timeline, well some Twitterers would capitalize several words to emphasis it or just the first letter of each word. Here’s another useful tip that helps your followers to notice your tweets much easier. That is by inserting cool characters such as a heart shape, an aeroplane, happy face and even the rook, knight and pawn symbols found in the International chess.

Known as TwitterKeys, you can select from over 100 different characters from this collection and copy and paste it in your tweet. It’s developed by Boris and Sander of The Next Web.

Most of you might have heard of iStock which features a large collection of stock photography. Of course, you would have to pay for them if you want the watermark to be removed. It doesn’t comes cheap – prices range from $1 to $27. If you don’t want to burn a hole in your pocket to get these images, then I would suggest you to try out a website called Photl.

It provides exclusive high resolution images and was touted as the “the owner and distributor of the largest collection of exclusive free photos”. You might wonder if it’s illegal to download these photos but as the founder explains on the site “All the photo images are subject to extended license on usage (Extended Royalty Free). They are absolutely free and are intended to be used in commercial activity.”

Comes in eight different languages, Photl enables you to search for stock photos which are taken by professional photographers. Users can filter their search by selecting the colors they particularly want and sort the results by number of downloads and date of download. This free service only limits up to 45MB but I bet you’ll hit the target easily as the photos there have large sizes. You can select three different sizes before you download (small – 1280X1024, medium – 1920X1440 and large – 4368X2912).

Photl also makes you search experience a better one by showing you the related keywords to your search. This allows you to browse similar images.
