Instantly Find Twitterers Near You

Written by admin on Friday, February 6th, 2009 in Internet, Social Networking, Tech Tips.

It’s quite surprising for one to find out that his or her neighbors are using Twitter when you didn’t even know about it. This is when Nearby Tweets comes in handy in helping you search Twitterers living near you. By punching it details such as location, keyword and search radius (measured in miles), it will present to you the 50 recent tweets that match your selection you’ve made earlier on.

If you play with this Web app and was lucky to stumble across a similar face – that is either your friend or neighbor living near you, follow him or her on Twitter and they will be surprised to see you on the social platform.

The downside of this app is that it doesn’t provides very accurate stats. As a frequent Twitter user, you should have known that when users sign up, it doesn’t requires them to provide their location and some even leave the option blank. Therefore, there are actually many of them who are not included in the database.
