Touted as a “A Real-Time Website Value Estimator”, this free tool enables you to find out how much your website is worth by grabbing data from multiple sources such as the stock market taken from Yahoo Finance (I don’t think any developer have implemented this great idea).

Besides collecting information from financial markets, it also takes in the account the strength of a TLD (Top-Level Domain). As the founder explained on the side, “Top Level TLDs are more valorize than Regional or Local TLDs. Also, and comparing Top Level TLDs, there are some differences in how our calculation is made. ( ex: .com and .info are subjected to different factors ). Why? For us, and comparing two websites with same ” absolute value “, the market will react different if TLD is .com or .info. They could have the exact same number of backlinks, PR, traffic, popularity… but we think you would prefer the .com one.”

Of course, you should take the final calculations too seriously as what has presented to you is just an estimation and there are even more factors that need to be look at.

According to the site, there are close to 9,000 bloggers who have already performed a curious check since it was launched. So what makes Stimator so special? Comes in eight different languages, Photl enables you to search for stock photos which are taken by professional photographers. Users can filter their search by selecting the colors they particularly want and sort the results by number of downloads and date of download. This free service only limits up to 45MB but I bet you’ll hit the target easily as the photos there have large sizes. You can select three different sizes before you download (small – 1280X1024, medium – 1920X1440 and large – 4368X2912).

Photl also makes you search experience a better one by showing you the related keywords to your search. This allows you to browse similar images.

Microchips designed by Audience, the Silicon Valley company Watts launched, are now being used by mobile handset makers in Asia to improve dramatically the quality of conversations in noisy places. The chip is modeled on functions of the inner ear and part of the cerebral cortex. “We have reverse-engineered this piece of the brain,” declares Watts.

The 47-year-old neuroscientist is on the leading edge of what some believe will be a fundamental shift in the way certain types of computers are designed. Today’s computers are essentially really fast abacuses. They’re good at math but can’t process complex streams of information in real time, as humans do.
